They looked after me as if I was one of their own. Since I\u2019m an only child, coming to live in a family with three younger siblings has been fun in a new and different way. I had a host sister, who was 16, and two host brothers, 12 and 13.<\/p>\r\n<p>We were all very close, and I often attended school with my host sister, and we\u2019d eat lunch together. At first I was scared and worried, afraid to speak English because I wasn\u2019t confident in my own ability, but I got more fluent as time passed.<\/p>\r\n<p>I could talk to my host family about anything and everything, and I did my best to help however I could. I put away the dishes from the dishwasher, vacuumed the house, and did other chores as if I were really a part of the family.
