Belle – Karnsiree Sookmool, a 2018-19 EduDee exchange student, shared her thoughts on her double placement (meaning that the host family welcomes two exchange students into their home at the same time) in Utah, USA. For Belle, it was like getting another sister. The other exchange student was Ana from Spain. Belle and Ana became very close forming a strong bond over the 10 months they spent together. Belle elaborated by saying “We talked about everything and consulted each another. We shared happy moments with one another. It was a really worthwhile and meaningful 10 months. It wasn’t just spending 10 months there and then returning. During the program I gained so much and so many different kinds of experiences.” Belle also said that these days it feels like she dreamt being there and that time flew by all too quickly during those 10 precious months. Belle is currently studying in M5 (Grade 11) in Assumption Convent School.
